About Maple City Painters
Your Local Painting Professionals in Ottawa
A family-owned painting contractor with roots in Kanata, serving homes and businesses across the greater Ottawa region.
Who we are
A family business built on interior work
Maple City Painters and Renovations Inc. is a family-owned and operated painting contractor. We started out in Kanata and now work across the greater Ottawa region, from the west-end suburbs to Orleans in the east.
Our founding goal was simple: superior craftsmanship at a fair and competitive price. Residential interior repainting is still the heart of the business, alongside cabinet refinishing and popcorn ceiling removal, and we take on exterior, commercial, deck and fence, and new construction work with the same standards.
We are fully licensed and insured, and a BBB Accredited Business with the Better Business Bureau of Greater Ottawa.
Maple City projectPainting expertise
More than 50 years of combined experience
Between them, our painters bring more than 50 years of experience. That shows in the details customers notice: straight cut lines, even coverage, repairs that disappear under the paint and trim that looks crisp.
We also believe in explaining the work. We walk you through the products and options that suit your home, so you understand why we recommend a particular primer, paint or sheen. See our full list of services or look through recent projects.
Maple City projectWorkmanship
Surface preparation and quality standards
Paint only looks as good as the surface underneath it. These are the standards we hold every job to.
Repairs first
Cracks, holes and minor drywall damage are filled, sanded and primed before any colour goes on.
The right products
Professional-grade paints chosen for durability and coverage, with premium low-VOC paint on interior walls.
Clean job sites
Work areas are protected while we paint and left clean and organized when we finish.
Standing behind it
Our work comes with a warranty for quality and workmanship. Ask for the details with your proposal.
Communication and planning
You will know what to expect at every stage
It starts with our appointment request form. We then call to book a Project Discovery Call, look at the job and confirm the details of your estimate.
You receive an accurate written proposal with structured payment stages. Most residential projects take 1 to 5 days, depending on size and condition, and we keep you updated so the project stays clean, organized and on track. If you need help choosing colours, we will guide you based on your space, your lighting and your style.

Homes first, businesses too
Most of our work is inside Ottawa homes, from bungalows to two-storey houses. We also paint exteriors, kitchen cabinets, decks and fences, and we work with builders and homeowners on new construction.
For businesses, we paint offices, retail spaces and common areas. Scheduling around your hours is something we plan with you at the estimate. Learn more about our commercial painting.
